People are watching you.
People are watching me.
Sounds kind of creepy, right? While it may sound creepy, it's true. Your family, your co-workers, your neighbors, your closest friends, all of the people that you interact with are watching you. Your life is telling a story to the people who are watching you. What story is your life telling?
When we think about that question it would be easy for you to look at your victories and become very proud of the story that your life is telling. On the other hand it would be easy to look at some of your failures and become ashamed of the story that your life is telling.
The good news is that you can have a New Story. In fact you are designed to live in a New Story that Jesus has in store for you.
In thinking about your life you might initially be thinking "Can someone like me possibly have a New Story?" When you consider some of the decisions you have made the idea of any type of redemption that could lead to a New Story may appear to be out of reach.
Let me introduce to you Paul. Paul is the most influential leader in Christian history (With the exception of Jesus), and he had this to say about his past life, "even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggresor." Paul had a checkered past to say the least. He led the charge in murdering other humans. Yet when he encountered Jesus he was offered redemption, a new life, a new story!
If Jesus can change someone like Paul, and bring his life into living in the reality of a New Story he can do the same for you. Turn to Jesus. Trust in the redemption and restoration that only he can give and begin to live in the reality of the New Story that he is writing in your life, and in the world!
